Hello, world
So here I am, writing my first post. I have never posted (okay maybe once or twice that I recall that have long since been deleted) on the Internet despite being here, consuming it and hoarding for the better part of a decade.
I've always found personal websites to be fascinating and some of my favourite destinations 1 in the online jungle. They are in a way, an extension of the individuals writing them - serious, nerdy, funny, and you can always find one according to your tastes. They don't have to be enjoyable. No pressure, you can move on, you can move to a different corner but you always find something new. No algorithm leads to these places, but they are found. 'Finding' them is itself fun, going through different links, written by some, commented on by others, referenced by another, until you find the right address to be in.
I want the same thing for my corner as well. I don't know what this place will turn out to be. Some places in this home will be rough and edgy, and others will be polished. Some will land, some won't. If one lands for you, I’d love to hear about it. Maybe one day you will return to find it completely changed. That's the beauty of it, you write for an audience of one but all are welcome. This will be my place to share and contribute to the world, where I have been roaming for a while.
I have been working in the tech world for a while. Sometimes I think this makes it harder because you feel like an architect whose home should be flawless. I don't know how many times I have half built one, got lost into choosing the best platform/tool/packages/animations, and never finished. So this time (hopefully this time is different) I have used a simple static generator 2 to make this website. You can find plenty of other useful guides on making a personal website and even some satirical ones 3 4. Everyone should have their corner, even if you have to vibecode, do it and share the address.
Here's to my first.
